Welcome to FES Yemen

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) is a non-profit German foundation committed to the values of democracy and social justice. Widely acknowledged for being an important actor in the promotion of dialogue, the Friedrich-Ebert-Foundation is working in Yemen since 1995 and opened its office in Sana´a in 1999. Main areas of work since have been fostering democracy and the stabilization of the political system in Yemen as well as just economic and social policies with a gender perspective. In recent years peacebuilding and peaceful conflict resolution have become additional important topics of our work. In 2023 the FES office moved to Aden.
